Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of the housekeeping staff. The ideal candidate will ensure guest rooms, public areas, and service areas are clean, well-maintained, and meet the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Responsibility
Supervise, train, and coordinate housekeeping staff (room attendants, cleaners, public area attendants) Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met Assign duties and work schedules to housekeeping team members Ensure cleaning checklists are followed and rooms are cleaned within specified timeframes Monitor inventory of linen, cleaning supplies, and equipment; report shortages or maintenance needs Handle guest requests or complaints related to room cleanliness or amenities Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene protocols Maintain housekeeping records such as attendance, cleaning reports, and performance logs Coordinate with the front office, laundry, and maintenance departments Report lost and found items as per hotel policy
Requirements
Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and sanitation standards Familiarity with guest room inspections, cleaning checklists, and room readiness protocols Ability to use or learn Housekeeping Management Systems (e.g., Opera PMS, Hotelogix, or manual registers) Basic computer skills (MS Excel, email communication, reporting)
